2-4 Tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Cut each pita into 8 triangles, like a pie. Split each piece in half at the seam in the middle. Put pieces into a bowl.
Mix together spices, and sprinkle over pita pieces. Toss with a few Tablespoons of olive oil.
Place pieces in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. You will need two baking sheets.
Bake at 375* for 5 to 8 minutes. Keep an eye on them, as they will burn quickly.
1 (15 oz.) can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
2 cloves of garlic
2 Tablespoons of tahini (sesame seed paste)
4 Tablespoons lemon juice (about two lemons)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
Combine all ingredients in a small blender or food processor, and blend until smooth.
