1 1/2 tablespoons chicken-flavored bouillon
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried whole thyme
1/8 teaspoon celery seeds
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 cup uncooked fine egg noodles
Half pint mason jar

Put the dry ingredients into the bottom of the jar, and put the lid on. Shake to mix up the dry ingredients. Add the noodles, and put the top of the jar back on.
Decorate the jar with ribbon, gift tags, or get creative! Be sure to attach the directions below, so the receiver can make the soup at their leisure.

How to make soup:

1 jar of homemade chicken noodle soup mix
8 cups water
2 carrots, chopped
2 cups cooked chicken, diced

In a large pot, combine the dry soup mix, water, carrots and chicken.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until noodles and carrots are soft.
