Tommy X Hancock is regarded by many as being hugely influential in the West Texas music scene and beyond. He was inducted into the West Texas Walk of Fame in 2012.

The film "Tommy Hancock: West Texas Muse" focuses on his career as a musician and the owner of the famed Cotton Club.
But director Dwight Adair also digs a little deeper into the man himself in his film.

"You're gonna learn about the spiritual quest this man has been on," Adair said. "He always has been trying to find out, as he would say in his own words, what it feels like to be a better man."

Special screenings of the documentary are Sunday at the Alamo Drafthouse at 4:30p.m. and 7p.m. Hancock and Adair will be there for a question and answer session following both screenings.
