Another step forward for a Lubbock singer on season twelve of "American Idol."
In Thursday night's episode in Oklahoma City, 19-year-old Javonte Bibbs made it through to the Hollywood rounds.
In a new "Idol" interview, Bibbs talks about his reaction to getting that golden ticket to Hollywood.
"I auditioned because I think I am the next "American Idol," he said. "My first thought when I got that golden ticket was, 'I did it!' It felt so good to have it in my hand."
Bibbs went on to say his key artistic influence is Chris Brown because of his unique sound and style.
