This first weekend of November brings the First Friday Art Trail and you'll get to see a lot of the art featured in the Dia de los Muertos processional in case you missed it. The Buddy Holly Center featuring it's "Celebracion" exhibit but it's just one of the numerous galleries, restaurants and businesses along the trail celebrating local art.
Also in the Depot, the Cactus Theater's ready for another performance of "Ransom at Dry Gulch." a western comedy musical with Jane Prince Jones and the News at Nine anchor who can act.
It's your last chance to catch a couple other plays. Lubbock Community Theater wraps up its production of "Over the Tavern." It's a more recent play by Tom Dudzick focusing on an Irish Catholic family that lives over a tavern where mom and dad work. But the play's more of a character study as a young boy questions his family's faith.
In Tech Theater's production of "Mud" a woman questions whether learning to read is the way out of a very tough living situation. But she learns pretty fast that the men in her life aren't going to help solve her problems. The dramatic play builds to a shock of an ending. Sunday is the last day to see it.
