Number 1: Weird Al releases his first album in three years, celebrating it by releasing a new song parody to the public each day. Tracks include parodies from top hits "Happy," "Blurred Line," "Royals," and "Wrecking Ball."

Number 2: A petition is circulating around California, getting over one million signatures, to separate the state into six individual states, with their own elected officials and congressional leaders. Opponents largely dismiss the campaign, and say the action would deter businesses from moving to the states.
