"Hi, I'm John Burke. I'm with the United States Department of Agriculture in Lubbock, TX. We work on water and temperature stress on crops and grow all of the major crops grown throughout the U.S. and study the effects of drought and look for resistance," Burke said. "I've been with the agency for 35 years and got into it because I love this country, I think the producers are amazing. And the ability to provide food and clothing for this country as populations increase, it's really amazing the quantity of food, the quality of foods that we make, and how we protect the environment in the process."
