Breast cancer awareness month continues for another full week. And this coming Saturday, October 26 every jockey will wear pink silks at Zia Park race track.

Zia Park will be hosting their Race to Whip Cancer day to benefit breast cancer awareness and research efforts. Besides the jockeys, other Zia race track employees, including the gate crew and outriders, will also be decked out in pink.

Proceeds from Zia Park's fifth Race to Whip Cancer day will benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation of central New Mexico. For fans there will be prizes, giveaways, and a silent auction. So if you are headed to the horse races in Hobbs, New Mexico this weekend, be sure to wear pink to show your support.
