The Dawson County farm tours took place on Monday, but if you were unable to make the event or would like to take a look at some crops to our north, then the Halfway ag tours will be perfect for you.
Our Eddie Griffis has the details.
"Another ag tour I'd like to talk about will be taking place at the Halfway Center. That is located east of Plainview and it is the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service Hale County turn row meeting. Again that will be at Halfway. They will start things off at 8:30 in the morning with irrigation research from Jim Burdowsky, Texas A&M Agrilife Research there in Halfway. Also be visiting with Blane Reed, the integrated Pest Management agent for Swisher and Hale County. They'll be talking about drought corn, weed management, and disease management. Again that's the Hale County turn row meeting. That will be taking place September 12 and they will start at 8:30 there in Halfway."
