Lubbock and area counties are working to drive out rural hunger and raise awareness about food insecurity.

The 2013 Ag Texas Tractor Drive started back in August. Members of FFA chapters in a 23-county area, from Muleshoe to Breckenridge, raised funds for the Texas Food Bank Network.

"You know, one in six people are touched by food banks across the state of Texas, and I think when they started realizing that they were helping feed kids in their schools, and elderly in their neighborhoods and communities, they really got behind it," said David Weaver, Executive Director of the South Plains Food Bank.

The Breckenridge FFA club raised the most funds per capita member, taking home the John Deere tractor that was used in the drive.
