Now for our Ag Student of the Week.

This week we introduce you to a young lady who's a member of Whiteface FFA.

She just completed her freshman year and first experience with FFA.

Britney Kiser was on both the horse judging team and the chapter conducting team and says that FFA is a great place to belong.

"This is my first year in FFA and I got started just by coming to ag," Britney Kiser said. "At first I started in home ec. And I learned that's not for me. And so I came here and it was really nerve racking being the person who didn't start in ag sitting in the back of the class, but I've learned so much and it's really been fun."

The Whiteface FFA chapter along with thousands of other FFA students from across the State of Texas met in Dallas this week for a fun-filled learning experience at their annual state convention.

"You meet a lot of people, you learn so many things about what people have been through and how they got into FFA and how FFA has changed their life," Britney Kiser said. "And it's very interesting."

If you know of a hard working and deserving young person that's involved in agriculture, please send nominations for Ag Student of the Week in to
