The 2013 AgTexas Farm Credit Tractor Drive is still underway and Texas FFA groups will be hosting local fundraisers over the next couple of months to help drive hunger out of rural Texas.

You can help support the cause, too coming up on Friday, September 6.

The Idalou FFA Chapter will be raffling away a John Deere lawn mower at their high school football game.

The game is at 7:30 p.m. but you can also swing by the pep rally earlier in the day to buy a ticket. That starts at 3 p.m.

Idalou High School is located at 601 South Walnut Street.

For more information or to get your hands on a raffle ticket, just call 806-544-6269.

Also on Saturday, September 7th, the Crosbyton FFA Chapter will be collecting donations to support the Texas Food Bank Network and local food pantries at the Crosbyton VFD Prairie Fire Brisket Cook-off.

The event begins at noon with the cook-off winners being named at 5:30 p.m.

There will be door prizes, a rifle raffle and entertainment.

The Crosbyton FFA will have donation buckets available and will help with the event all day.
